Day three of the Coast and Castles Route

That's the last of the sea for a while as the route turns inland, following minor roads along the River Tweed with another castle at Norham.

The route leaves the Tweed briefly, passing through some very pretty countryside to Kelso, just beyond is Floors Castle, enormous and impressive even a long distance away ! 

After Galashields, you will find the countryside changing open lands to hillsides and this part of the route makes use of the pretty Tweed Cycleway. 

You will spend the night at Melrose.

                         Day 1 Newcastle Upon Tyne to Warkworth / Alnmouth
                            Day 2 Warkworth / Alnmouth to Berwick
                                Day 3 Berwick to Melrose
                                    Day 4 Melrose to Edinburgh
                                        Day 5 Return transport to Newcastle
